Turlock, CA – The Ted Howze for Congress campaign announced the endorsement of Patterson Mayor Deborah Novelli. She is the fifth mayor from the 10th Congressional District to endorse Dr. Howze.

Novelli was elected Mayor of Patterson in 2016 and first elected to the Patterson City Council in 2010. Mayor Novelli is a past president of the Patterson Rotary and past vice president of the Patterson-Westley Chamber of Commerce. She is a mother to five adult children and has made public safety and job creation a priority during her term as mayor.

Howze has also earned the endorsements of Modesto Mayor Ted Brandvold, Manteca Mayor Ben Cantu, Waterford Mayor Mike Van Winkle, Ceres Mayor Chris Vierra, Back the Badge California, an organization supporting local enforcement officers and their families, and former Turlock City Councilmembers Kurt Spycher, Bill DeHart, and Kurt VanderWeide.

Background: Dr. Ted Howze is a lifelong resident of the Central Valley and former Turlock Councilmember. Ted grew up on a farm south of Fresno where he developed a love for our valley, became conversational in Spanish, and worked in the fields through college. He’s worked for the past 24 years as a Large Animal Veterinarian. He is the proud father of three sons and has developed a number of successful businesses, including one of the first local companies.

In 2013, Ted’s first wife Sharon passed away suddenly due to an undiagnosed heart condition that could have been treated. That experience drew Ted’s focus to a healthcare system that consistently puts profiteering ahead of the health of patients. Recently married to his second wife Laura, a Catholic High School teacher, both have dedicated themselves to critically reforming healthcare for all Americans.
