Turlock, CA – Dr. Ted Howze, Republican candidate for California’s 10th Congressional District, has expressed support for a policy proposed by the President’s administration last week. The wide-ranging proposal would require hospitals and insurance companies to be more transparent and provide consumers information regarding secret rate deals they make for all services, including medication, supplies, and facility fees.
Dr. Howze remarked, “It’s time to end the secret insurance company deals. People deserve to know the real cost of healthcare and whether hospitals or insurance companies are cutting behind-the-scenes deals. Whether you are a veteran, working family, or senior, we ought to be doing everything we can to provide you with information so you can make the best and most informed decisions for your healthcare at the most affordable cost.”
