A LITTLE BACKGROUND
A lifelong resident of California and current resident of Turlock, Ted grew up on a farm south of Fresno where he developed a love for our valley, agriculture and animals. He attended the University of California at Davis where he received degrees in Exercise Physiology in 1990 and graduated from Veterinary School in 1994. After graduation Ted eagerly moved back to the San Joaquin Valley where he's worked for the past 24 years as a Large Animal Veterinarian. Not just a veterinarian, the proud father of three sons has also developed a number of successful businesses including one of the first local dot.com companies.
Ted is a registered Republican who served the valley community of Turlock as a Planning Commissioner, City Councilman, Stanislaus Council of Governments representative, Vice-Mayor and budget committee leader. During his service Turlock was recognized nationally for both its smart growth and financial stability during one of the greatest financial crises in history. His expertise in budgeting, economic planning and use of Redevelopment funding laid the groundwork for Turlock's economic boom over the last decade. His signature project, Turlock's Regional Industrial Park, has created hundreds of new high-paying jobs for the region from employers like Blue Diamond Growers, Valley Milk, Hilmar Cheese, US Cold Storage, Sensient, Foster Farms and Cozy Shack.
BUILDING A BRIGHTER FUTURE
Ted is running for Congress to represent us all with a voice of fiscal experience that understands our pressing needs locally. He will fight for Federal investment in water and transportation infrastructure, common sense immigration reforms that do not grant amnesty, strengthening Social Security\Medicare trust funds and an unwavering support of our Nation's Veterans and their benefits.
